Colitis and Crohn's Disease Archives

If you are a straight woman and you have sex without a condom can you get crohn’s disease (bacteria getting inside you) and if you let a man do you anally with or without a condom can you get crohn’s disease? I read that bacteria in the bowels can lead to crohn’s and assume that anal sex would lead to bacteria in the bowel. Anyone know the answer to these questions?

My husband is 37 and has had Crohn’s disease for about 15 years. He has been suffering more lately, and finds that most food that is healthy hurts his stomach (fruits, veggies, red meat, etc.) Does anyone know of a healthy diet (or remedy) that has improved their condition (or someone they know)???? (His doctor has suggested agressive treatments such as remecade, however our insurance will not cover enough of the cost in order for us to afford it)

Steriods, anti-inflamatories, anti-biotics (oral and rectally are not working). So I’m looking into special diets.
